Maya Abraham’s work is highly interdisciplinary. It consists of relief prints, silkscreen, and textile. Her work includes intentional use of color and graphic imagery. She creates work as a way to express what she sees in my daily life. Mundane things that inspire her include daily routines, transit, and people in conversation. Observing human nature, especially as a collective, is what truly inspires her. A common theme in her work is distortion. Often she pulls  previous photos that she has taken as inspiration and warp them in ways she finds compelling. For example, taking reflections of objects or people and exaggerating them. In her work, she has enjoyed using textile and these printmaking mediums because of the texture that they bring.
